Square One
As part of the W15 district, the Square One-City Centre area is actually part of the Cooksville neighborhood. Yet, due to its massive size and the numerous attractions and condos in the area, it is often thought of as a separate entity. The Square One Shopping Centre features many of the most popular retail outlets, including Sears, Zellers, Old Navy and Gap. It is also home to one of the largest Wal-Mart stores in the world, which covers 2 floors and 220,000 square feet of space. In addition, between the months of June and October, a large farmer’s market is set up on one of the mall’s parking lots.
Living in Square One-City Centre
The Square One/City Centre area is a convenient location that is near to many attractions. In addition to being in the center of all the action in Mississauga, the Square One Shopping Centre is also located only 20 minutes away from downtown Toronto and 15 minutes away from the Toronto Pearson International Airport. With the mall being located adjacent to Highway 10 and Highway 403, it is also easy to reach by car or by bus. In fact, the Mississauga Transit bus network’s main terminal is located on the mall grounds.
